The collection of Handloom recycled bags and accessories is environmentally friendly, sustainable and entirely hand-made.

In a sustainable and ethically responsible approach, Kimood continuously seeks to improve and reduce the environmental and societal impact of its production.

Created as part of a close collaboration between Kimood and the company HandTouch, a member of ECOTA (a network of fair trade organisations in Bangladesh), this collection helps support the economy of families living in remote villages of Bangladesh, and the work of women in particular, thus preventing these villages from being deserted.

Each piece in the Handloom recycled collection is unique and hand-made with all the care and meticulousness that this involves. The bags are hand stitched using traditional looms from Bangladesh, called “tant” looms. The traditional weaving gives the canvas a distinctive and unique handcrafted look. The elegant collection skilfully showcases the timeless charm of artisan production, featuring it-bags and more classic bags inspired by nature. There is a label inside the bags with details about the project as well as a space for decoration to add any logos and/or messages.

To guarantee optimum quality and protect the environment, the canvas on the bags in the Handloom recycled collection is all produced with carefully selected recycled yarn.

Natural, minimalist and ultra-trendy, the hand-woven shopping bag is available in two sizes: 48 x 12 x 50 cm (KI5205) and 38 x 8 x 42 cm (KI5206). The handles sewn along the body of the bag are made from the same canvas as the bag to guarantee sturdiness and aesthetic appeal.

Versatile, the pretty 21 x 17 cm woven canvas case (KI5702) was created with the traditional know-how of Bangladeshi textile workers. Its understated, mineral and textured Flint Grey colourway is in harmony with the elements of nature and offers easy decoration access.

The practical and original size of the 50 x 25 x 25 cm hand-woven duffel bag (KI5602) is popular with athletes and the unanimous choice for those who prioritise sustainable fashion.

With a large surface area, the 42 x 12 x 40 cm hand-woven canvas shopping bag (KI5207) offers a range of decoration options. We love the deep Storm Blue colour which symbolises water and storms as well as the traditional ancestral colours.

Woven from plant fibre and recycled yarn, the 26 L hand-woven basket (KI5208) is part of an ethical approach to fashion.
